Picking up where SCCA Esports left off.
A league of the same SCCA family without the official support (but blessing of) of the National Esports program, thus the “unofficial SCCA” title. We will strive to maintain the clean, respectful, fun, and competitive racing that SCCA ESports provided and was founded on. This league will also strive to follow the conduct and principles the SCCA is built on.
The Ray Esports Unofficial SCCA Racing League is just another way for the SCCA family to have “Fun with Cars”
All league members are SCCA members, or donate to the SCCA Foundation to help the Club support several motorsport initiatives.
We use 3 Groups, and rotate weekly with 2 groups per week. A 9 week season provides a 6 round championship for each class. To cap off the season, we have our version of a Runoffs.
Races are sprint races 20 min to simulate a real world SCCA event. There is no Iracing license requirement to permit real world drivers who only use Iracing for training, track familiarization, etc. If a driver only has a Rookie Iracing license, he/she will monitored a couple races to insure there is a competent level of car control and race craft in the Sim environment to insure the league remains fun and fair for all.
