SRF Week 13 vRunoffs

The SRF community enjoys a traditional Big Grid race every Sunday of week 13 on the Iracing schedule.

Up to 60 cars join forces on track for some fun in one of the best series going. This attracts some of the best of the best from several different series within iracing,  as well as all levels of skills, so everyone enjoys the fun, clean competition.

All of the races have been broadcasted to share with the virtual enthusiasts everywhere.

A history of this event: Originally introduced and hosted by Luca Varani, as SRF Big Grid, Steve Ray and the Weekend Warriors took it over and introduced it as the vRunoffs Big Grid for the 11th race at Mid Ohio. This was to honor the actual SCCA Runoffs that includes the SRF, and was hosted at Mid Ohio for several years.  Dan Sadro took over the vRunoffs for the 26th edition and hosted thru the 30th adding a support race to fun.  Starting with the 31st Ray Esports Racing has taken over the reigns.

With the introduction of the FV Weekend Warriors in 2021, we have added a 2nd race to the series.  2023 season 2 sees the new Ray FF1600 added as well.  We have a Weekend Warriors league for both of these cars now!!!

Formats also change some to make it a little different, and keep it fun and entertaining.

The last 2 seasons have seen a heat format for the SRF, 2 races, 1 of 15 min, 2nd of 25 min. The F4, FV and now add the Ray FF1600 race is a 25 min straight up race. The open Qual sessions of earlier seasons has also changed to Solo qual for the last couple of seasons as well.

NOW the 40th!!! 10 YEARS of this special event. This will include the first time ever for at least a partial rain race for the FF1600 thanks to a new release from Iracing. This was the first time held on a free content track. Okayama recently got a face lift, has some good runoff for the rain, so it’s up for this race!!! We will have Legacy WW members, Previous vRunoffs Big Grid Champs, current WW members, and SCCA racers for this epic race.

42nd edition. The Ultimate Challenge  FV’s saw the DIRT at USA Dirt track, then on to Summit Point with rain for the next challenge, and topped off with the concrete walls of Long Beach in the heat!!! A Great challenge, and the Warriors didn’t disappoint!!
